Translating a PDF converts the text of a document into another language while keeping the pages' layout, so the result is still a usable PDF rather than a block of plain text. SuperPrompts' free Translate PDF tool groups the text into paragraphs, translates them, removes the original words from each page and reflows the translation into the same areas, using fonts that support scripts such as Hindi, Arabic, Chinese and Japanese. Translation uses the on-device translation engine built into Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge on desktop, so your document is not sent to a translation server and there are no usage credits. Other browsers show a notice to switch. Scanned PDFs need OCR PDF first.
